Eudora Middle School English instructor Paul Boone talks to his students Tuesday, putting into context the content of a play called “Pandora’s Box.” Possible cuts at EMS would do away with three reading positions that allow reading and English to be taught in separate classes. The cuts would make it nearly impossible for Boone to do such activities that increase students’ understanding of the content they’re studying.

As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
