Aided by duplicate archives at the Watkins Community Museum of
History in Lawrence, Eudora water plant employees are working on a
collection of photos from early Eudora. Jon Showalter, shown here,
and Bill Hadl researched the history behind the pictures of old
buildings and structures from Eudora's past and put them on display
at the town's water plant.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
