Eudora senior Allison Hoover readies to compete in the pole vault during last weekend’s state track meet at Wichita’s Cessna Stadium. Hoover placed third in the event by clearing 10-feet. The Eudora girls finished in 22nd overall as a team and the EHS boys finished 39th as a team.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
