Haley Epperson, Rachel Pyle and Kendal Abel hoist the 4A Sub-State Championship trophy following Eudora’s 42-25 win over St. James Saturday night in Eudora. Epperson led Eudora with 14 points and nine rebounds. The Cardinals will play Concordia at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Bicentennial Center in Salina.

The celebration started a little early. With 30 seconds to go in the game, the Eudora student section couldn’t wait any longer and started the chant: “Sub-state champs.”

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
