With their backs against the wall, Eudora’s girls piled it on. Nudged into a second-place tie with Spring Hill in the Frontier League after a Jan. 31 loss to Louisburg, the Cardinals did just that.

The Eudora boys basketball team battled back from an 18-point third quarter deficit Thursday night to defeat Jeff West 53-52.

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum's Field of Legends features a ballfield with several prominent Negro Leagues players at the tour's ending point. Pictured above are catcher Josh Gibson, batter Martin Dihigo and manager John "Buck" O'Neil on a makeshift dugout perch. The museum attracts anywhere from 50,000 to 60,000 visitors a year.

Bryan Dudley hauls in a touchdown pass against Ottawa in 7-on-7 passing league Monday. Eudora beat Ottawa, 4-1, in the first game before beating Shawnee Mission North, 3-1. On the night, Dudley caught four touchdown passes.

Christian Richardson reaches up to haul in a pass down the sideline Monday in 7-on-7 action against Piper. Richardson scored on the play, and Eudora tied with Piper, 1-1.

Emily Ballock nears the finish line in the 300 hurdles Saturday at Cessna Stadium at Wichita State. Ballock won her fourth gold medal in as many years in the event.

Emily Ballock edges out a Fort Scott runner in the 1,600 relay. Eudora got third in their heat, but didn't qualify after finishing 10th with a time of 4:15.01.
