- BALDWIN CITY — Eudora beat its rival for the second straight year and won the Class 4A district crown here Thursday. In fact, the Cardinals (7-2) rolled over Baldwin (2-7), winning 47-0 at Liston Stadium.

Ivan Espinosa runs at the state cross country meet Saturday in Wamego. Espinosa finished 20th overall with a time of 17:28, brought home a state medal and was named to the All-State team.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
