- BALDWIN CITY — Eudora beat its rival for the second straight year and won the Class 4A district crown here Thursday. In fact, the Cardinals (7-2) rolled over Baldwin (2-7), winning 47-0 at Liston Stadium.

Ivan Espinosa runs at the state cross country meet Saturday in Wamego. Espinosa finished 20th overall with a time of 17:28, brought home a state medal and was named to the All-State team.
Eudora junior Ivan Espinosa runs Thursday at the Frontier League meet at Rim Rock Farm in Lawrence. Espinosa finished third overall in the boys race. The Eudora boys and girls teams placed fifth overall at the meet.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
