Chase Brecheisen lip-syncs Kenny Chesney's "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" Saturday night at the 6th Annual Variety Show, which took place in the Eudora Middle School Auditorium. The show raised more than $2,000 for the Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry, which is in the basement of St. Paul United Church of Christ.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
