.A WINTER STORM IS EXPECTED TO IMPACT THE REGION THIS WEEKEND. A
FIRST WAVE OF SNOW IS EXPECTED FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY
MORNING. AMOUNTS WITH THIS ROUND SHOULD BE LIGHT...ON THE ORDER
OF 1-3 INCHES. AFTER A BRIEF LULL IN THE SNOW SATURDAY...A MORE
POWERFUL DISTURBANCE WILL BRING A MUCH BETTER CHANCE OF HEAVY
SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. IT IS THIS SECOND WAVE THAT THE
WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GOODLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...NONE.
* HAZARD TYPES...MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW...AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW
AND LOW VISIBILITY DUE TO HEAVY SNOW.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN FRIDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE
WEEKEND. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL OCCUR SATURDAY NIGHT.
* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE IMPACTED. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT
ROADS...INCLUDING INTERSTATE 70...MAY BE CLOSED. HEAVY WET
SNOW WILL ALSO STRESS YOUNG LIVESTOCK.
* WINDS...EAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.
* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 20S.
