...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS LIKELY...
.A POWERFUL COLD FRONT HAS MOVED INTO THE AREA CAUSING
TEMPERATURES TO FALL FROM THE 60S AND 70S INTO THE 30S THIS
EVENING. ON GOING RAIN WILL GRADUALLY CHANGE OVER TO SNOW THROUGH
THE OVERNIGHT HOURS AS THE COLDER AIR CONTINUES TO MOVE IN. THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR A SEVERAL HOUR WINDOW OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
SNOWFALL BETWEEN 10 PM AND 4 AM OVER THE ADVISORY AREA. MANY
FACTORS WILL DETERMINE TOTAL ACCUMULATION...BUT RAPIDLY
ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL IS POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION...VERY STRONG
NORTH WINDS WILL LEAD TO SEVERELY REDUCED VISIBILITIES.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT
EARLY THIS MORNING.
* THIS ADVISORY IS FOR NORTHEAST MISSOURI...ALONG AND EAST OF A
CHILLICOTHE TO UNIONVILLE LINE.
* SNOW END FROM WEST TO EAST BETWEEN 3 AND 4 AM.
* AN AREA OF SNOW WILL SHIFT EASTWARD INTO EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
OVERNIGHT. ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS WILL GREATLY DEPEND ON SNOWFALL
INTENSITY OVER THIS SHORT DURATION...AS WELL AS TEMPERATURES. THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ANOTHER INCH OF SNOW.
* IMPACTS...THIS SNOW WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY VERY STRONG
NORTHEAST WINDS OF 20 GUSTING TO 35 MPH...LEADING TO SEVERELY
REDUCED VISIBILITIES. DESPITE THE WARM TEMPERATURES OVER THE
PAST TWO DAYS...RAPID ACCUMULATIONS COULD LEAD TO SLUSHY
ACCUMULATIONS ON ROADWAYS AS WELL.
