MOVE THROUGH THE BILL ARE FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE QUAD STATE
REGION TONIGHT. MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL THAT MAY RESULT IN FLASH
FLOODING...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE THE GROUND IS ALREADY
SATURATED FROM RECENT HEAVY RAINS.

EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT AND WILL BRING 2 TO 3 INCHES OF
HEAVY RAINFALL EASTERN SECTIONS SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN
ILLINOIS. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF 4 TO 5 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE
WHERE RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS REPEATEDLY TRAIN OVER THE SAME
AREAS.
* THE ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL ON TOP OF ALREADY SATURATED
SOILS WILL LIKELY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING. THE RAIN WILL ALSO
SERVE TO AGGRAVATE RIVER FLOODING ALREADY IN PROGRESS.
EXPECTED RAINFALL FROM THIS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL CAUSE VERY
SHARP RISES ON SMALLER...FAST RESPONDING RIVER SYSTEMS.
PERSONS IN OR NEAR THESE WATERWAYS WILL NEED TO KEEP POSTED ON
THE LATEST FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO SEEK HIGHER GROUND
QUICKLY.
