William "Connie" Flinn
Services for William Conrad "Connie" Flinn, 78, DeSoto, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Monticello United Methodist Church, 75th and Gleason, Shawnee. Burial will be in Monticello Union Cemetery.
Mr. Flinn died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 15, 1922, in Shawnee, the son of Frank Bryan Flinn and Ella May (Blakely) Flinn.
He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1941. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp in 1942 and served four years as an air mechanic.
He married Laura Lois Turner on May 6, 1951, in Drexel, Mo. She survives, of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Conrad "Connie" Flinn, Independence, Mo., and Brian Flinn, DeSoto; four daughters, Vicky Musick, Overland Park, Colleen Darnell, Lawrence, Patti Plummer, DeSoto, and Maureen Ross, Linwood; a brother, Charles Flinn, Shawnee; three sisters, Eileen Smith, Frances Simpson and Wanda Huddleston, all of Shawnee; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Monticello United Methodist Church, 23860 W. 75th St., Shawnee 66227.
Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
