Marmon-Benoit exchange vows

January 31, 2002

Michael "Michelle" Renee Marmon and William "Bill" L. Benoit were married June 23, 2001, at a garden wedding at Kim's Barn in rural Eudora, with Judge Sheppard officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Vicki Marmon, Eudora, and Mark and Lena Trumbly, Fritch, Texas. The groom is the son of Ben and Penny Benoit, Eudora.

Out-of-town guests included Rudolph Pavlat, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., great-grandfather of the groom. Also, the bride's grandmothers from Louisiana and Garnett were in attendance.

Amy Meuffel, Eudora, was maid of honor. Jeremy Cooper, Eudora, was best man.

Bridesmaids were Autumn Trumbly, Fritch, Texas, and Desire Marmon, Eudora, sisters of the bride. Groomsmen were Jason Marmon, Eudora, brother of the bride, and Mike Benoit, Valley Falls, brother of the groom.

Breanna Benoit, Valley Falls, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Zach Cooper, Eudora, was ring bearer.

Bridal attendants were Teresa Benoit, Valley Falls, and Rachel Benoit, Eudora.

Brent Benoit, Valley Falls, and Joshua Benoit and Steve Benoit, both of Eudora, handed out beach balls for guests to throw at the couple.

A "tropical" reception followed at Kim's Barn. The "barn" was decorated with marine life, netting seashells, greenery and garlands of flowers.

The four-tier cake was decorated with fresh gladiolas and English ivy. It was made by Shirley Williams, Eudora.

Cutter's of Eudora catered the meat. Family members provided salads and other side dishes.

Complete Music of Lawrence provided music for the dance.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Eudora High School. She is pursuing a nursing degree at Johnson County Community College.

The groom graduated from Eudora High School in 1992. He is employed by McConnell and Associates, Kansas City.

The couple reside in Eudora.
