Cox couple celebrate 50th
Howard and Lorene Cox, Linwood, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2 to 5 p.m. June 29 at Eudora City Hall.
The couple married Feb. 1, 1953, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora.
Howard is a retired farmer, and Lorene is a homemaker. Lorene remains active as a 4-H leader.
They spent their 50th anniversary in Yuma, Ariz., while staying the winter there.
The couple's children are Philip and Marilyn (Cox) Whitenton, Yuma, Ariz.; Paul and Sheri (Cox) Flory, Baldwin; and David and Jodette Cox, Linwood. They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The couple request no gifts.
