School salaries up for public scrutiny

The Kansas Legislature passed a bill last session that required school districts to release administrative salaries to their newspapers of record before Oct. 1 of each year. Newspapers aren’t required to run the information, but a spate of articles followed the release date.

Cellular tower recommended for West Seventh Street location

The recommended location is near the 500 block of West Seventh Street, an area previously approved for a 150-foot tower. The recommendation for the Seventh Street site comes after the City Council rejected a proposal to place a tower at the ballfields near Kansas Highway 10 and Church Street.

Cardinals on top at home

It was a historic week for Eudora High School and its volleyball team. The Cards (25-3) competed in the Wellsville Invitational Saturday and then came home Tuesday for senior night — the first and only home matches for the Cards, and the first athletic event ever in Eudora’s impressive new gym.
