Shirley A. Clark
Services for Shirley Ann Clark, 68, Perry, were Saturday, Sept. 20, at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa. Cremation followed.
Mrs. Clark died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Lawrence, and was adopted and raised by Clarence S. and Martha E. Hippleheiser Meinhardt.
She graduated from Emporia High School in 1953 and attended Central Christian College in McPherson for two years. She had lived in Perry since 1967.
Mrs. Clark was a chef for Lambda Chi Alpha sorority house for 26 years before she retired. She had been a cook at Williamstown Grade School. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary unit No. 142 in Perry.
She married William "Wayne" Clark on July 15, 1955, in Topeka. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Richard Clark, Eudora; two daughters, Pam Wagner, Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Tammy Brouhard, Perry; a brother, Sidney M. Meinhardt, Topeka; a foster sister, Rosemary Helsel, Wichita; eight grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandson.
