Services for Delbert Ray French Sr., 69, Lawrence, were Monday, March 8, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. French died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at his home.
He was born May 14, 1934, in Eudora, the son of Homer G. and Thelma Mae (Cunningham) French. He attended Lawrence schools.
Mr. French was a labor foreman for Underground Systems Inc. until he retired. He had formerly worked for Riley Inc. and Law-rence Asphalt.
He was a member of Lawrence Evangelical Friends Church, Bass Anglers Sportsmen Society, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
He married Carol M. Worth on Sept. 1, 1961, in El Monte, Calif. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Thelma M. French and Tina R. French, both of Lawrence; two sons, Leslie A. French and Delbert Ray French II, both of Lawrence; two brothers, Robert French, Lawrence, and Homer French, Canon City, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Evangelical Friends Church, sent in care of the mortuary, 120 W. 13th St., Lawrence 66044.
