New farmer’s market raising money for teens
Eudora business owner and pastor Rob Lang will have a farmers' market from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday -- and each Saturday afterward through Nov. 27 -- at 112 E. 10th St., the building and lot immediately west of Annabelle's Restaurant.
Lang said he had organized several farmer's markets, flea markets and craft bazaars in the past and was looking for a way for church youth groups to be able to have a fund-raiser at such an event.
He said he was not charging rent for booth space for church youth groups but charged a nominal fee for exhibitors.
Lang said he had good response from exhibitors for this weekend's market. He said there will be crafts, antiques, collectibles and retail available.
"I saw how this could be good for the community to sell their produce and wares and help the church youth groups raise funds for their activities," Lang said.
For more information, call Lang at 785-393-2274.
