Thomas H. Welsh
Graveside inurnment services for Thomas Howard Welsh, 47, Eudora, were Saturday, May 14, at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee. A celebration of life followed at the Shawnee Civic Center.
Mr. Welsh died Monday, May, 9, 2005, as a result of a motorcycle accident in rural Douglas County.
He was born Jan. 18, 1958, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Charles H. and Judith A. Kyner Welsh.
Mr. Welsh had worked for many years with the Plumber's Union Local No. 8 in Kansas City, Mo. He was a member of Doric Lodge No. 83 A.F. & A.M. in Eudora and the Abdallah Temple of the Shrine in Overland Park. He participated in many charity motorcycle rides and attended Crest Bible Church in Kansas City, Kan.
Survivors include his mother, Judith Brody, Overland Park; his father and stepmother, Charles H. and Edris Welsh, Tonganoxie; three sons, Thomas Howard Welsh II, Jacob Welsh and Isaac Welsh, all of Eudora; three daughters, Rachel Welsh, Tabitha Welsh and Sarah Welsh, all of Eudora; three brothers; a sister; and a grandchild.
A sister, Susan Eberlein, preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorials to the Shriner Children's Hospital, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora 66025.
