Mass of Christian Burial for Mary E. Harris, 78, Eudora, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.
Mrs. Harris died Monday, Oct. 10, 2005, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Cleveland, the daughter of Theodore and Emma Kovatch Manchon.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and its St. Theresa's Society. She was also a member of the Red Hatters.
She married Charles Harris on May 1, 1948, in Kansas City, Mo. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jean Marie Day, Bremen, and Rita L. Buddemeyer, Grain Valley, Mo.; a son, David E. Harris, Eudora; a sister, Edna Swatzell, Shawnee; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel, after which the family will greet friends until 8:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Theresa's Society at Holy Family Catholic Church, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora 66025.
