EMS students place in state history competition
Eudora Middle School eighth-graders Alex Mott and Madison Dennis will travel to Abilene April 22 to compete in the Kansas State History competition at the Eisenhower Museum.
The students will present a documentary "Mary Estey: Her Stand Against Immoral Judgment," which won second place in the Regional Kansas History Day competition on March 4.
The Kansas History Day competition is open to all Kansas students in grades six to 12. Students can compete individually or in teams in four categories: historical paper, documentary, drama or exhibit.
