Merna E. Smittle

Graveside services for Merna Elizabeth Smittle, 78, Eudora, were Monday, April 10, at Eudora City Cemetery.
Mrs. Smittle died Friday, April 7, 2006, at her home.
She was born May 7, 1927, in Hartville, Mo., the daughter of David and Mable Fisher St. John.
Mrs. Smittle was a homemaker and worked at Lily Tulip Cup Factory in Springfield, Mo.
She married Chester Smittle on April 29, 1945, in Branson, Mo. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her mother, Mabel St. John, Golden City, Mo.; a daughter, Caren Rowland, Eudora; two sons, Carlin Smittle, Springfield, Mo., and Carlos Smittle, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Harlin St. John, Golden City; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Assn., sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora 66025.
