Nadine Azalia Mitchell-Grant
Services for Nadine Azalia Mitchell-Grant, 77, Topeka, were Saturday, Jan. 14, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Topeka. She was cremated.
Mrs. Mitchell-Grant died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, in Topeka.
She was born June 10, 1928, in Lawrence, the daughter of Samuel Mitchell and Sara Patterson. She attended public school in Eudora and Lawrence.
Mrs. Mitchell-Grant was a Jehovah's Witness for more than 51 years and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She married Napoleon A. Grant Sr. on Nov. 9, 1946, in Lawrence. He died earlier.
A son, Napoleon Grant Jr., also died earlier.
Survivors include four sons, Erthel Grant, Los Angeles, Jack Grant, Topeka, Clifford Grant, Valley Falls, and Edward Grant, Omaha, Neb.; four daughters, Talailah Moore, Janell Moose and Lolita Grant, all of Topeka, and Linda Kay Grant, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two brothers, Kenneth Mitchell and Robert Mitchell, both of Lawrence; two sisters, Pearl Hamilton and Martha Hamm, Lawrence; 27 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
