Donald R. Baker
Services for Donald R. Baker, 69, De Soto, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, De Soto.
Mr. Baker died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1936, the son of Lloyd and Mary Smith Baker.
Mr. Baker was a repairman for Lonestar Cement for 33 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6654 in De Soto.
Mr. Baker and his wife, Luretta, married Dec. 31, 1956. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, LaDonna Brown and Karla White, both of Linwood; a son, Christopher Baker, Gardner; two brothers, Merlin Baker, Kansas City, Mo., and Harold Baker, Cheyenne, Wyo.; two sisters, Letha Hatton and Norma Beck, both of Cameron, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Herschel Baker and Leroy Baker and a sister, Leola Bartlett, preceded him in death.
