Middle school basketball

The seventh-grade varsity basketball team Eudora played Spring Hill Oct. 24 in the first round of the Wellsville Invitational tournament and were defeated 43-8.

Ashlyn Jackson, Katelyn Abel, Sarah Prudden and Anyssa Mays each had two points for Eudora.

Jackson had one rebound, one steal and one assist. Abel had three rebounds. Prudden had one steal and Mays had three steals, one rebound and an assist.

Chloe Pittman had three steals and Jennifer Bowser had one. Madeline Dickerson and Mackenzie Cadue had three rebounds and two steals each.

Ali Bales and Victoria Lehmann had one rebound apiece.

In Monday's tournament game, Eudora fell to Wellsville 17-14, but showed improvement.

Pittman was high scorer with five points. She had three steals, an assist and one rebound. Jackson had three points, two steals, one assist and one rebound. Mays had four points, three steals and two assists. Lehmann had two points and two rebounds. Abel finished with two rebounds and three steals.

Dickerson had four steals and one rebound while Cadue had three steals. Bowser ended with two steals and an assist. Prudden had a rebound and two steals and Bales had one assist.

  • The eighth-grade junior varsity team traveled to Spring Hill Oct. 26 to take on the Chiefs.

Eudora came away with its first victory, beating Spring Hill 8-2.
