Homecoming parade route changed
Homecoming activities at Eudora High School begin Monday.
The Student Council will be coordinating spirit week leading up to the game, which will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at Laws Field against Anderson County. The homecoming dance will be from 10 p.m. to midnight Friday in the commons area at the high school.
Daily spirit week winners will be announced at the high school. Spirit days are Monday -- PJ Day; Tuesday -- Superhero Day; Wednesday -- Teacher Impersonation Day; Oct. 5 -- Grade School/Old School Day; and Oct. 6 -- School Spirit Day/Hat Day.
The annual homecoming parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday but has a new direction and the location for the pep rally has also changed.
This year, the parade will begin at Seventh and Main streets, next to Eudora City Hall, and will proceed south to 14th Street, turning left to Maple Street and then back south in front of the Eudora Nursing Center, heading south to 15th Street, then left to Elm Street and then to Laws Field. The community pep rally will begin after the parade and should end by around 6:45 p.m.
