JCCC to host two March open houses
Johnson County Community College is hosting two open houses in March, one to help potential adult students and one to help parents, learn about college admission and career options.
An adult visit event will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 6 in room 124 of the Carlsen Center. This will be an opportunity for adults wishing to return to college to visit JCCC and learn about educational opportunities.
A parent event will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 12 in room 211 of the Carlsen Center. This is an opportunity for parents of high school juniors and seniors to learn about expectations when sending their students to college. It will include a timeline of what to assist students with and when, how JCCC's career services can help their students and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
Admissions staff will answer questions and provide information about starting and furthering one's education -- financial aid and scholarship information, academic and career counseling, along with information about resources available on campus.
