Church news
The Pastoral Council at Holy Family Church will meet at 11 a.m. Sunday in the classroom across the parish hall, 820 Birch St., Eudora.

Holy Family will have coffee and donuts following mass Sunday in the parish hall.

The Holy Family Knights of Columbus diaper drive is taking place during January. Diapers, or any non-perishable items that the mother of a newborn child would find useful, may be dropped off in the playpen in the vestibule of the church. Proceeds will be donated to the Mother to Mother program in Lawrence.

Anyone interested in participating in an intercessory prayer group that will meet once a month is asked to call Gerri Kirkpatrick at (913) 515-1210.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
