Ribbon-cutting set
The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Eudora Aquatic Center is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Lawrence radio station Lazer 105.9 will be there from 2 to 4 p.m. with its "pool patrol."
Free hot dogs will be served on a first come first served basis at 5 p.m. p.m.
Admission is free between 5 and 7 p.m. Saturday.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
