CPA golf tourney


The annual CPA Picnic golf tournament will begin at 8 a.m. July 27 at Eagle Bend Golf Course, 1250 E. 902 Road, Lawrence. Golfers should arrive by 7:30 a.m.

The registration fee for the two-person scramble is $50 per person or $100 per team and includes green fees for 18 holes, cart rental, lunch, range balls and drink tickets. As a reminder, tank tops and cut-offs are not allowed.

A registration form appears on Page 4A in this week's issue of The Eudora News.

Registration is due at 5:30 p.m. July 24 to Byrne's Pharmacy, P.O. Box 670, Eudora 66025.

Football camp

Cardinal Football Camp for athletes in grades one through four will be from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. July 23 to 26 at the practice field at Eudora High School. Sessions for fifth- and sixth-graders will take place from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

High school sessions will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 23 to 27 at the practice field at Eudora High School.

The camp will stress all phases of the game of football including basic fundamentals and techniques for each position.

Each session will include a stretching and warm-up period and an offensive and defensive period. Individual and group time will be used to run plays on offense and alignments on defense.

Parks and Rec activities

Eudora Parks and Recreation is offering various recreational activities and programs. Registration has begun for adult men's softball leagues.

Signups for youth soccer are Saturday, July 21, at Nottingham Elementary.

Registration has begun for youth volleyball leagues.

Registration for youth flag football will begin soon.
