Kids day out
Kids' Day Out, a program provided by the Eudora United Methodist Church, has openings for preschool children.
During the construction of the new Methodist church, the group will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Eighth and Church streets.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
