Quilt guild meeting
The Eudora Quilt Guild will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Eighth and Church streets.
Tony Munoz will be the guest speaker. He will present "One Male's Viewpoint of the Quilting World."
Munoz is a retired elementary school teacher. He is a charter member of The Quilter's Guild of Parsons and the Kansas Quilters organization. He has many years of quilt making experience.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
