Medical supplies needed

March 15, 2007

Don and Monica Durkin are asking for basic medical supplies to send to their oldest daughter Beth, who is currently teaching in Mongolia.

Beth Durkin joined the United States Peace Corps in July and is serving in Mongolia for two years teaching English to middle school-age students through adults.

During the summer, she will be working with the Mongolian Red Cross. They are in need of simple supplies (not medicine) including bandages, tape, triple antibiotic cream, antiseptic cream, medicated spray and butterfly bandages.

Monetary donations to help with shipping costs will also be accepted.

The first shipment will be sent March 30. Items may be taken to Don and Monica Durkin, 722 Ash St., Eudora.

For more information, call Monica Durkin at 542-2240.
