Pandemic flu training for childcare providers
The Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department, along with the Douglas County Child Development Association will be providing local childcare providers training on what they need to do to prepare for pandemic influenza.
The "Pandemic Influenza ... Are We Prepared" presentation will give childcare providers in Douglas County guidance on what they should be preparing and planning for should a pandemic occur. Staff from the health department will conduct the training.
The first session is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Community Health Center, 200 Maine St., Lawrence. The second session is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 26 at the health center. Both days have the same training.
