East Central cooperative meets
The regular meeting of the East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education Board of Directors took place May 8 at the Cooperative Central Office in Baldwin City. Members present were Blaine Cone, Susan Rader, Ande Parks, Kenny Massey, Ardith Bell and Sue Martin, Clerk of the Board. Jim Martin was unable to attend.
Ardith Bell made a motion to accept the resignations of Krista Beckley, Eudora IRR; Donalyn Biehler, Baldwin IRR and Jennipher Vance, Wellsville IRR. Susan Rader seconded the motion and it carried by a 5-0 vote.
Kenny Massey made a motion to approve the 2007-2008 certified contract for Pam Dixson, Wellsville IRR. Ande Parks seconded the motion and it passed by a 5-0 vote.
Extended school year contracts were approved for Eudora educators Janelle Arb, Ruth Burks, Barb Durkin, Chad Motter, Marlene Nelson, Rachel Padfield, Shannon Leckner, Terri Mills, Dawn Thomas and Sheri Welborn.
Susan Rader seconded the motion and it carried by a 5-0 vote.
The Lawrence School District, having converted over to PC computers, donated Macintosh AT equipment to the Cooperative. Ande Parks made a motion to accept the donation and Kenny Massey seconded the motion. It carried by a unanimous vote of 5-0.
The East Central Kansas Cooperative in Education is the special education cooperative that serves Eudora, Baldwin and Wellsville.
