Historical society to meet
The November meeting of the Eudora Area Historical Society will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Eudora City Hall, 4 East Seventh St.
Cat Rooney will present her pictures of Eudora, past and present.
In addition, a presentation on Eudora's filling stations will take place.
A door prize and refreshments will be available.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
