Cards top Eagles
Bailey Scott scored 15 points and hit four three-pointers to lead the Eudora Cardinals to a 41-28 win over Silver Lake Tuesday at Eudora.
Scott hit two of her four threes in the first quarter, and Haley Epperson and Shea Lounsbury controlled the glass with their hustle. The Cardinals (4-1) had a five-point lead at the half and extended their lead to 33-18 at the end of the third quarter. Silver Lake crawled back late, but Rachel Pyle and Evan Folks combined to go 5-for-6 from the free-throw line to preserve the win.
Justin Ballock scored 19 points to lead Eudora past Silver Lake 52-44 Tuesday night at Eudora.
Eudora (4-1) never trailed in the game and built a 16-2 first quarter lead and led 29-8 at the half. Eudora had a commanding 18-point lead to start the final period but turnovers and lack of focus gave Silver Lake late life. The Eagles outscored the Cardinals 25-12 in the final period, but Eudora regrouped late and held on to win.
Brian Katzfey scored nine points, Drew Noble scored eight and Michael Bricker scored seven to lead the Cardinals. Next up for Eudora is a home game against Prairie View Friday at Eudora.
