Girls beat Ward, advance to semis

The Eudora girls advanced to the sub-state semifinals Monday night with a 55-38 drubbing of Bishop Ward.
Next the Cardinals face the winner of Monday's Baldwin-Spring Hill game for a trip to the finals.
Eudora led the whole way in the rout, jumping out to a 14-5 lead after the first quarter and leading 45-23 after three quarters. Senior Emily Ballock led the way for the Cardinals, scoring 17.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
