Eudora Scout Troop No. 64 honored Alvie Jameson Lavery March 9 with an Eagle Court of Honor.
Glenn Jackson presented Lavery with the Eagle Award and neckerchief and then had him recite the Eagle Pledge. Jackson then presented Lavery with a silver coin from the troop committee.
Lavery is a 2007 graduate of Eudora High School. His parents are Scott and Lisa Stoltenow, Eudora.
His grandparents are Raymond and Mary Hartley, Paradise, Texas, and Jim and Genevieve Guy, Eudora.
The Eudora Lions Club sponsors the troop.
¢ Friday, adult members of the troop provided parking direction for the Community Good Friday Service at the Eudora United Methodist Church in the church's new building at 2084 N. 1300 Road overlooking Kansas Highway 10. Scoutmaster Glenn Jackson, Roy Wimmer, John Scott, Matt Jones and Troop Committee chair Roy Lytle participated.
¢ Saturday, a group of Scouts and Scouters from Troop 64 distributed the Eudora Parks and Recreation booklet to homes on the south side of Eudora. Scouts participating included Patrick Bradley, Evhan Sours, Zach Dudley, Tanner Brunton, Chance Hamm, Connor Bradley, and Nathan Bradley. Scouters Glenn Jackson, John Scott and Dan Sours accompanied them.
¢ Troop 64 also is taking orders for trash bags to provide money to fund the troop's activities and camping fees. The troop will be attending summer camp at Camp Naish, near Bonner Springs, in June.
