The Downtown Eudora Business Association is looking for volunteers for their Fall Family Festival Oct. 31 in downtown Eudora. The evening will have safe trick-or-treating and children’s games from 5 to 7 p.m. at downtown businesses, followed by a Haunted CPA Park from 7 to 11 p.m.

The Eudora United Methodist Church will serve a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at CPA Park during EudoraFest.

It wasn’t their best showings of the year place-wise for the Eudora Cardinals cross country team last week. But the JV girls third place finish at Tonganoxie and the varsity girls 19th place finish out of 31 schools at KU Rim Rock in Lawrence was still pleasing to coach Paul Boone.

It was Eudora’s second match of the year against Ottawa Tuesday night at home, but much like the first meeting Eudora struggled to put the ball in the net.
