Former Green Beret to speak at KU

Mark Johnson, Eudora, a former Green Beret officer will speak at the Kansas University Union Bookstore at 3 p.m. Nov. 5.
He will detail the experiences featured in his book, “Lessons in Leadership: Straight Talk From a Green Beret,” which he also will be signing.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
