CPR classes offered

The Eudora Fire Department and the Eudora Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction the American Heart Association, will offer CPR classes at the Eudora Community Center, 1630 Elm St.
The friends and family class will be Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at a cost of $30. The health care provider class will be Feb. 28 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at a cost of $50.
Class sizes are limited and payment is due at the beginning of class. Call
542-1725 to register.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
