Blazers sweep Cards

Justin Ballock has his shot blocked by Gardner's Bubba Starling during the second half of Friday's game at Gardner. Eudora had a chance to win the game in the final seconds, but turned the ball over and Gardner won, 43-39. Ballock led Eudora with 13 points in the contest.

The Eudora had a chance to tie or take the lead with less than six seconds to go, but as Evan Cleveland sprinted past halfcourt with the ball trying to setup Justin Ballock for a shot, Gardner poked it away and got a fast-break dunk and won, 43-39, Friday night at Gardner.

Ballock led Eudora (9-7. 2-3) with 13 points, 11 of those coming in the second half. The Cardinals will play Monday at Atchison.

Haley Epperson scored 16 points for Eudora, but the Cardinals fell, 47-35, Friday at Gardner. Eudora cut a seven-point fourth quarter deficit to two with 6:00 to play, but Gardner ended the game on a 15-5 run.

Eudora (10-6, 3-2) will play at Atchison on Monday.
