There will be 10-20 minute delays on US 24/40 on your way toward Topeka and Kansas City from Lawrence. There will also be minor delays and detours along I-70 and I-435. The weather is dry right now, but there is a chance for showers and storms this morning.

Nervous parents needing the help of a steadying habit at the half time of a close game probably won’t agree, but we support the efforts of a number of Eudora High School students to ban smoking on all school district property.

September 1997 City officials removed watering restrictions put into place in August. Because of a high demand, the city asked its water system users to voluntarily reduce their consumption of water until demands returned to normal levels.
