College Notes

Madison Dennis received All-A Scholastic Honors from Pittsburg State University for the all 2009 semester. She also was promoted to editor-in-chief of the PSU newspaper, the Collegio.
Madison is a 2009 graduate of Eudora High School.

Eudora student Brian Talbert was named to the Rockhurst University dean’s list for the fall 2009 semester. This honor recognizes students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or more.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
