Meet the candidates night on tap March 23

Area residents will have a chance to meet candidates for the Eudora school board and city council during a “Meet the Candidate” night.
Eudora Chamber of Commerce will host the meeting March 23 at Eudora City Hall, 4 E. Seventh St.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with candidates running for a position on the school board, followed by candidates for city council at 7:50 p.m.
The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
