Patricia Ann Morris 1947 - 2009
Church services for Patricia Ann Morris, 61, Meriden, were Friday at the Heritage Baptist Church, 1781 E. 800 Road, Lawrence. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry.
Mrs. Morris died Tuesday, July 14, 2009.
She was born Oct. 3, 1947, in Chanute, the daughter of Christopher Arlington and Vera Lucille Mason Patton.
Mrs. Morris worked as a supervisor at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 15 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church for 16 1/2 years and was also a Sunday school teacher.
She married David Lee Morris on Dec. 12, 1963, in Iola. They were married for more than 45 years. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Jeffrey Wayne Morris, Topeka; two daughters, Wendy Sue Morris, Eudora, and Amy Lynn Corban, Buffalo; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Belynda Sue Morris.
The family suggests memorials to the church’s building fund, sent in care of the funeral home, 3821 W. Sixth St., Lawrence, KS 66049.

What do you think about a proposed ban on smoking in public places such as restaurants, bars and workplaces?
As much as I hate government interfering with our lives, I love the smoking ban. Going out in Lawrence is so nice without smelling cigarette smoke at your table while eating.
