AFTERNOON TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY...
* TIMING...ONSET LATE THIS AFTERNOON IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS...
THEN SPREADING RAPIDLY NORTH AND EAST THIS EVENING. THE BULK
OF THE SNOW IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 7 PM AND 1 AM.
* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 2 INCHES...WITH ISOLATED 2 TO 4
INCHES IN CENTRAL KANSAS. THE GREATEST AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED IN
MCPHERSON...MARION AND CHASE COUNTIES.
* TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS...VERY LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS.
* MAIN IMPACT...BRIEF PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE
ARE POSSIBLE. THIS WOULD MAKE UNTREATED ROADS...BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES VERY SLICK. REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SLICK ROADS ARE
ALSO LIKELY IN THE HEAVIER SNOW.
