ACROSS THE WATCH AREA...WITH UP TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE UNDER THE
MOST PERSISTENT THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY.
* WITH HEAVY RAINFALL RATES EXPECTED ON TOP OF ALREADY MOIST
SOILS AND THE HIGHLY URBANIZED AREAS IN THE GREATER KANSAS
CITY METRO....THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING WILL INCREASE
DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT
WHEN IT IS OFTEN HARDER TO RECOGNIZE DEVELOPING FLASH FLOODS.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
