MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TONIGHT...BRINGING SNOW AS FAR NORTH AS THE
LOWER OHIO VALLEY AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING UNTIL 6 AM CST SATURDAY...
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING UNTIL 6 AM CST SATURDAY.
* ACCUMULATIONS...FROM ONE TO TWO INCHES OF DRY POWDERY SNOW IS
EXPECTED.
* TIMING... MOST OF THE SNOW WILL FALL BETWEEN 7 PM AND 1 AM IN
THE SOUTHEAST MISSOURI COUNTIES...BETWEEN 9 PM AND 3 AM IN FAR
WEST KENTUCKY AND THE SOUTHERN TIP OF ILLINOIS...AND BETWEEN
MIDNIGHT AND 6 AM IN THE PENNYRILE REGION OF WESTERN KENTUCKY.
* MAIN IMPACT... ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.
* OTHER IMPACTS... COLD TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER TEENS TO AROUND
20 DEGREES TONIGHT WILL REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOME MELTING
AGENTS SUCH AS ROCK SALT.
