...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO
NOON CST SATURDAY...
* TIMING...A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND SLEET IS LIKELY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON. PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO FREEZING
RAIN EARLY THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS. SOME THUNDER IS ALSO POSSIBLE TONIGHT. FREEZING RAIN MAY
CHANGE TO PLAIN LIQUID RAIN LATE TONIGHT AS SURFACE TEMPERATURES
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE AREA ARE EXPECTED TO RISE
JUST ABOVE FREEZING. A TRANSITION BACK TO A MIXTURE OF SNOW AND
SLEET IS EXPECTED BY SATURDAY MORNING.
* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW (INCLUDING SLEET) ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND 1
INCH...ALONG WITH AROUND ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE.
* WINDS...SOUTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.
* IMPACTS...THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS
TRAVEL CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES... OVERPASSES...AND
UNTREATED ROADS. PARKING LOTS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BECOME
SLIPPERY AS WELL.
